Small Text for Discord
Discord has no font-size control. What it does have is Unicode, and Unicode contains letters that are simply drawn smaller — small capitals, superscripts and subscripts — so you can produce text that reads as smaller without changing any setting.
Small Caps is the reliable one. Every A–Z and a–z letter has a small-capital form, so any word you type converts completely, and the result stays even in height, which is what makes it look tidy in a nickname or a heading.
Superscript and subscript are the genuinely tiny options, but they come with a real limitation. Unicode only defines them for part of the alphabet — subscript covers seventeen letters, and there is no superscript q at all — so most words come out partly converted and partly unchanged. Treat them as a way to style digits, symbols and short words rather than sentences.

No. Lowercase letters have their own shapes, with ascenders and descenders that reach above and below the line. Small capitals are capital letter shapes scaled down to roughly x-height, which is why small-caps text reads as evenly sized rather than mixed.
